As an Level 1 FTTP Installation engineer you’ll be working alongside an experienced engineer as part of a 2 man team learning all aspects of installing Full Fibre into our customer’s homes and businesses.
You’ll be learning how we complete installations to a high standard and help to deliver a fantastic customer experience. You’ll be taught how to complete all aspects of the installation from start to finish so connecting the customer from our service point in the street to the house, blowing a fibre through our network and terminating it in the street cabinet, installing the ONT inside the premise’s, connecting up and testing the router.
The ideal candidate would be a hands on practical person with a keen desire to learn new skills perhaps from a similar industry with previous use of power tools or similar. Excellent customer skills are an absolute must, as is a strong team ethic and willingness to go the extra mile when needed to make sure our customers are connected 1st time. An outside the box thinker able to bring new ideas to the table.
A Full Driving licence is required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Successful 1st time completion of all installations in a friendly, professional manner to a high standard.
- Meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction and expectations.
- Ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
- Documenting of the installation from start to finish through use of a smart phone app
- Completion of Microsoft forms for reporting purposes.
- Fault finding and diagnosis using test equipment.
- Safe use of power tools and other hand tooling.
- Adhering to safe working practices.
- Health and safety compliance.
- Maintain and control adequate van stock levels and materials.
- Reporting of any faults or damage found in the network.
- Routine Network Maintenance.
- Some occasional overnight stays and working away if required for business requirements
Skills and Requirements:
- Driving Licence.
- Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) ticket (desirable)
- Hold a current trade card (ECS/CSCS/EUSR) (desirable)
- Willingness to meet challenge and exceed set KPI’s
