Job Specification – Street Works Coordinator
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Street Works Coordinator to join the business. As a Street Works Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination and execution of all Street Works activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation, submission and updating of street works permits (including traffic management permits for cabling works, civils works and poling works) in compliance with current legislation, for the full life of the permit through to registration of works and any potential remedial works.
- Daily reporting to external stake holders.
- Creating safe digging asset packs.
- Liaising with asset owners to organises joint site visits.
- Organise desilting/tree cutting works.
- Submit TM applications into local authorities.
- Attend weekly meetings with all external stakeholders.
- Plan and book all traffic management.
- Support HQSE with service strike investigations.
- Assisting sub-contractors with planning of their works where applicable.
- Communicate with operational staff to identify critical areas of delivery.
- Receive and record data onto work management systems.
- Ensure compliance to both the contract and NRSWA and report any non-compliance issues where appropriate, by escalation to the Team Leader.
- Ensuring compliance to procedures.
- Liaising with councils.
- Working with sub-contractors to complete works plans.

Experience & Personal Attributes
- Telecoms experience
- A good communicator
- Experience in the use of street work noticing systems with a good knowledge of the New Roads, Street works and Traffic Management Act.
- You should be proficient in Microsoft packages
- Attention to detail and a persistent approach to following up enquiries.
- A team player
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive and takes initiative
- Highly organised and detail orientated
