The Purpose of the Role
The Head of Residential Business Development is a key strategic role for the development of our residential revenue stream and will be directly accountable for the development of new relationships and the onboarding of ISPs working in partnership with Freedom Fibre. In addition to facilitating sales and relationship management, this role will also be accountable for the growth of the residential revenue stream through new strategic partnerships.
Core Responsibilities
• Managing and building relationships with new wholesale partners and national ISPs including the onboarding of new ISPs, negotiating and managing ISP contracts etc.
• Driving the residential sales pipeline (new and re-contracting) with the UK and international ISPs.
• Identify, research and develops new business opportunities and keeping on top of developments in the industry.
• Sales management, strategic management and business planning, including the development of a strategic business development roadmap / plan.
• Builds relationships with new wholesale partners.
• Managing and negotiating wholesale contracts with future ISPs for wholesale Fibre To The Premise (FTTP) to provide FTTP access to residential customers.
• Service review meetings with key suppliers.
• Attendance and/or input to SLT / board meetings, including preparation of presentations, statistics, key developments, updates on strategy, performance against key business metrics etc.
• Working cross functionally with teams and colleagues to align service proposition with the needs of the business and our customers.
• Liaising with other Freedom Fibre functions / departments to promote and increase residential revenue stream as and when required.
• Driving the overall residential business execution and strategic planning.
Skills & Experience
• Extensive experience in business development within the telecoms sector is essential.
• Proven track record of being able to impact and increase revenue streams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience within the same or a similar role.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Experience in contract negotiation and reviews.

• Practical communication skills to be able to build long-standing and successful relationships with key clients.
• Able to adapt and develop solutions to client's needs with clear and decisive communication.

Reporting to: Customer Operations Director
Freedom Fibre recognise the service provided by recruitment agencies and as such have a Preferred 2nd tier Supplier List, with whom terms of business have been agreed. Only suppliers who have signed up to these terms can place candidates with Freedom Fibre and will receive instruction directly from us to do so.
